We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Locations: Ojodu Beger / Mainland, Yaba, Surulere - Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Hour Requirement: Monday - Sunday (8am – 10pm) Alternate days

Job Summary

  • The Pharmacy Technician maintains pharmacy inventory by tracking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipts and removing outdated drugs.

Duties / Responsibilities
Dispensing and Medication Management:

  • Assist pharmacists with filling prescriptions and medication orders.
  • Measure and count medication doses.
  • Label and package prescriptions.
  • Maintain inventory and restock shelves.
  • Ensure the O/S book is correctly completed.
  • Track the expiry date of all medication.
  • Ensure the shelves are properly arranged.
  • Practice the FEFO (First to Expire, First Out) system to ensure medications do not expire on the shelves.
  • Assist in sale and ensure branch target is actualized at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times.
  • Answer phone calls and attend to online customers.

Education and Experience

  • HND / BSc in Pharmaceutical Technology
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in community pharmacy
  • Completion of a pharmacy technician certification program or equivalent work experience.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Conversant with the code of ethics of the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria
  • Knowledge of pharmacy terminologies, calculations, and procedures.
  • A strong work ethic and a “can-do” attitude that requires minimal supervision
  • Fluent English with excellent writing, verbal, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Works effectively as a team member and promotes collaboration
  • Appreciation for the importance of Pharmacovigilance compliance in pharma industry
  • Multi-tasker and have the ability to work under pressure with little supervision.
  • Computer literate.
