Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, Urgent Call For Participation in the Health Labour Market Analysis (HLMA) Primary Data Collection Survey

The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) wishes to inform all registered nurses and midwives in Nigeria of an ongoing Health Labour Market Analysis (HLMA) being conducted by the Department of Health Planning, Research and Statistics (DHPRS), Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare in collaboration with the World Health Organisation (WHO), the Global Fund, and other Human Resources for Health (HRH) partners.

This survey is critical to identifying workforce gaps and strengthening evidence-based planning and policy decision-making for Nigeria's health sector.

All nurses and midwives are therefore strongly encouraged to participate in this national survey by completing the online data collection tool available via the link below:

Participation in this survey will contribute significantly to:

  • Accurate assessment of Nigeria's health workforce distribution and capacity  
  • Improved workforce planning
  • Development of informed policies aimed at strengthening nursing and midwifery services nationwide.
