Emel Hospital Festac Town, Lagos, Nigeria isa multi-specialists’ hospital, situated at 21 Road, Z Close in Festac Town, Amuwo Odofin Local Government Lagos, Nigeria. Emel Hospital is a purpose-built 44 bed hospital situated on a piece of land specially approved for its purpose by the Federal Housing Authority.
Emel Hospital was established in 1988 by Dr. Olufemi Mobolaji-Lawal, a consultant paediatrician. Dr. Mobolaji-Lawal trained as a doctor at the University College Hospital, Ibadan and as a paediatrician in the United Kingdom. Prior to setting Emel Hospital, he worked for some time as consultant paediatrician at Ikeja General Hospital (now Lagos State University Teaching Hospital), Lagos. He is the board chairman and his wife, Dr. (Mrs) Margaret Mobolaji-Lawal is a non-executive director.

Job Title: Radiographer

Job Summary
- We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Radiographer with strong knowledge and hands-on experience in ultrasound imaging.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate reporting support.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging examinations including X-rays and ultrasound scans.
- Operate and maintain radiographic and ultrasound equipment effectively.
- Ensure proper patient positioning to obtain high-quality images.
- Assist in interpreting ultrasound images and provide preliminary observations where required.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging reports.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and protocols.
- Prepare patients for procedures and explain processes clearly to reduce anxiety.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals for diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of imaging equipment.
- Stay updated with advancements in radiography and ultrasound technology.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Radiography or Medical Imaging.
- Valid professional license (e.g., Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria – RRBN).
- Proven experience in radiography and ultrasound scanning.
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound techniques (abdominal, obstetric, pelvic, etc.).
- Good understanding of radiation safety practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of attention to detail and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Doppler ultrasound is an added advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions:
- May require flexible working hours, including weekends or shifts.
- Exposure to clinical environments and patient care settings.
