St. Dominic Catholic Hospital is a 64 bed hospital located in Ogungbade, off New Ife road Ibadan. St Dominic Catholic Hospital is the vision of the Dominican Sisters of St Catherine of Siena (Italy). We offer various medical services such as: General medicine, internal medicine, O & G, Laboratory, and Radiology, to mention just a few. The hospital is run in collaboration with foreign partners. We are registered and licensed by the Corporate Affairs Commission and the Ministry of Health. Also, we are accredited by the NHIS as both primary and secondary healthcare providers.

Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse/Assistant Nurse Supervisor to assist in leading our nursing team in providing high-quality patient care.
  • The successful candidate will support the Nurse Supervisor in overseeing nursing operations, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures, and mentoring staff to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in Leadership and Supervision: Support the Nurse Supervisor in guiding and directing nursing staff.
  • Patient Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Communication: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, patients, families, and physicians.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality initiatives, monitor patient satisfaction, and identify areas for improvement.5. Staff Development: Assist in educating, training, and mentoring nursing staff.
  • Policy and Procedure: Ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures.7. Patient Safety: Identify and report potential risks, ensuring patient safety.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Nurse Supervisor to achieve departmental goals.
  • 10. Professional Development: Stay current with industry developments and best practices.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Experience: 4 - 6 years of nursing experience, with 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ibadan resident only

Good to have:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field.
  • Certified Nurse Manager (CNM) or Certified Nurse Administrator (CNA) certification.
  • Experience in quality improvement, patient safety, or risk management.
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) proficiency.

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced hospital environment.
  • Rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical demands: standing, walking, and bending.

Salary
N130,000 - N180,000 / month.
