The Senate decision designating clinical skills courses (Advanced Trauma Life Support ATLS/ Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support ACLS) as prerequisite for the Fellowship Examination from 2021 will not be enforced in the March/April/May 2021 Fellowship examination.
This information was contained on a publication on the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria website. Associate Fellows will be allowed to register and sit for the examination even if they have not completed the ATLS/ ACLS courses
However, candidates who have been admitted for the MD programme (coursework & thesis) are still excepted to complete the skills course in their first semester ending in March 2021.
