We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Laboratory Technician / Manager

Locations: Ibadan - Oyo and Lagos

Job Summary

• Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Laboratory Technician/Manager to join our team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing laboratory operations, conducting tests on raw materials and finished feeds, and ensuring the quality control processes meet industry standards.
• The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in feed mill operations and the use of advanced laboratory equipment, such as NIR testing machines.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage laboratory operations, ensuring all tests are conducted accurately and efficiently.
• Perform tests on raw materials and finished feeds to ensure product quality and compliance with company standards.
• Operate and maintain NIR (Near-Infrared) testing machines and other lab equipment.
• Analyze and document test results, providing feedback to the production and quality control teams.
• Implement laboratory safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
• Train and supervise junior laboratory staff as necessary.
• Keep up-to-date with advancements in laboratory technologies and feed mill quality standards.

Qualifications and Skills

• B.Sc / HND in Science Laboratory Technology or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in feed mill companies.
• Proficiency in the use of NIR testing machines and other laboratory equipment.
• Ability to conduct and interpret a variety of laboratory tests on raw materials and finished feeds.
• Membership in relevant professional bodies is an added advantage.
