Job Title: Sonographer / Radiography Technician

Location: Isi-ala-Ngwa, Abia

Employment Type: Part-time

 

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a qualified, dedicated, skilled and detail-oriented Sonographer or Radiography Technician to join our clinical team.
• The successful candidate will perform diagnostic imaging procedures (primarily ultrasound scans) and support patient diagnosis and treatment decisions.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency ultrasound scans for obstetrics, abdominal, pelvic, vascular, and soft tissue imaging.
• Ensure proper patient preparation, positioning, and comfort before and during procedures.
• Maintain imaging equipment and ensure regular servicing and calibration.
• Accurately record and document scan findings and collaborate with physicians on diagnosis.
• Uphold high standards of patient privacy, safety, and infection control.
• Keep timely and organized records of procedures and maintain quality assurance protocols.

 

Requirements

• Minimum: National Diploma (ND) in Radiography, Medical Imaging, or Ultrasonography from a recognized institution.
• Valid license from the relevant body.
• Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in a hospital or diagnostic centre.
• Proficiency in the use of ultrasound and basic radiographic equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
