Bachelor Degree Programmes

B.Sc. (Ed) Degree Programmes in:

• Health Education, Human Kinetics:

Master of Education Degree Programmes:

• Educational Psychology, Arabic Education, Philosophy of Education, Health Education’ Public Health Education (with options in Nutrition Education, Drug Education, Family Life and Reproductive Health, Community Health and Primary Health Care and School Health Education).

Sub-Degree Diplons Programmes:

• Human Kinetics and Health Education,

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

B.A. (Ed), B. Se. (Fd.) and B. Ed. Degree Programmes Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) with a minimum of Merit in two relevant teaching subjects:

• "A" Level Passes in GCEAIMB/NABTEB/AUPEB or its equivalent
• NIWOND is also accepted for selected courses: Human Kinetics, and Health Education. In addition, the applicant must possess at least Five “O" Level Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and three other relevant subjects (see adverts on the Unilorin website for details). In addition to the above, candidates applying with “AS Level GCE/IJMB/ ABTEB/JUPEB must have a minimum of seven points while candidates applying with ND/HND should have a minimum of lower credit

The Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) Programme:

• A Bachelor's degree from any recognized University with a minimum of Third Class Honours degree is required Higher National Diploma with at least an Upper Credit obtained from a recognised Polytechnic or an allied Institution is equally acceptable,
• Postgraduate Diploma is Educational Technology (PGDET):
• A Bachelor of Education Degree (B.Ed; B.A, (Ed.), BSc. (Rd), B.Tech. (Ad) with a minimum of Third Class Honours, from the University of IIorin or an equivalent! Degree recognised by the Senate of the University of llorin.
• A Bachelor Degree (BA. B.Se.. 8, Tech) with a minimum of Third Class Honours and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) recognised by the Senate of the University of llorin.
• M.Ed. Degree Programmes
• A good First Degree Honours in Education with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division),
• A good First Degree in other disciplines with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division) plus a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) obtained at a credit level from a recognized University,

Sub-Degree Diploma Programmes:

Human Kinetics and Health Education: hAt least 5 "O" Level Credit passes at  SSCE/GCE/TCII/NABTEB or equivalent, including English Language and Mathematics, at not more than two sittings.

NB: Please note that at least a Credit pass in Mathematics and English at “O° Level in addition to 3 relevant subjects are required for admission into Sub-degree and Master Degree Programmes.

• All applicants seeking Undergraduate Admission are required to register online with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Note that the registration docs not involve sitting for Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). • Postgraduate Studies and Postgraduate Diplomas N28,000.00
• Undergraduate and Sub-degree Diplomas N10,000.00

 

APPLICATION PAYMENT SHOULD BE MADE ONLINE WITH ATM (MASTER CARD VISA CARD). CASH PAYMENT IS NOT ALLOWED,  

DURATION OF PROGRAMMES

• 4 Years: For Duvet Entry applicants with GCE/IJMB/NABTEB/JUPLEB/ND/OND. of its equivalent,
• 5 Years: For °O" Level applicants with at least 5 "O” Level Credit: passes at WASSCE/SSCE/GCE/NABTEB or equivalent, including English Language and Mathematics, at not more than two sittings,

Registration for admission is online at Unilorin and FAMB websites.

CLOSING DATE FOR SALE AND SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORMS FOR:

Postgraduate, Undergraduate, and Sub-degree Diploma: April 8”, 2024 to May 31°, 2024, Masters’ Qualifying Examinations will be announced through functional e-mail/functional GSM number (SMS) as provided by the applicants and the University of IIorin Website (IOE).
