Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the following programmes available at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital Training Schools, Benin City. 

1. SCHOOL OF NURSING UNIVERSITY OF BENIN TEACHING HOSPITAL 

This is a three (3) year General Nursing Programme leading to the award of Registered Nurse Certificate (RN). 

Entry Requirements 

1. Candidates must not be less than 18 years old and not more than 34years of age. 

2. Candidates must possess five Credit passes obtained in not more than two sittings in WASCE/GCE/NECO) in the following subjects, English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry. 

Method of Application 

Application forms are obtainable in person from the office of the Principal with a non-refundable fee of Ten Thousand Naira (N10, 000.00) only, payable to UBTH TREASURY SINGLE ACCOUNT (TSA) VIA REMITA PLATFORM IN ANY COMMERCIAL BANK UNDER THE SERVICE TYPE "TRAINING SCHOOL- SCHOOL OF NURSING 

A separate payment of N200 to Nursing and Midwifery Council Committee Edo State Account No. 2004854377 First Bank of Nigeria.

Candidates are to submit four (4) recent coloured passport photographs (taken two weeks prior to application) while returning the completed application forms.

Entry Qualifications 

• All applicants should possess a minimum of five (5) credit passes in not more than two sittings in WASSCE/NECO/GCE O'L subjects, which should include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
• For Programme 1

Candidates are expected to possess at least one of the following requirements:

• Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNSc)
• Registered Midwife (RM)
• Registered Nurse (RN) Certificate
• Any Post Basic Nursing Certificate Candidates with Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNSc) would start at HND II, while those with RN/RM will start at HND I. 
• For HND in Programmes 2 and 3 

Health Science is acceptable in place of Biology. Candidates are expected to have obtained ND in the respective fields from any reputable institution. 

• For Programme 9, admission is through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination. 

Method of Application 

Admission forms are obtainable at the office of the Principal, Institute of Health Technology, UBTH, Benin City, on payment of a non-refundable fee of Seven Thousand Naha (N7, 000) only into UBTH Account with TSA under the service type. Training School, Institute of Health Technology, using REMITA platform in any bank in Nigeria. 

Closing date for the submission of forms: Friday 20th August, 2021

Entrance Examination: 

Date: Saturday, 28th August, 2021

Time: 9:00am 9:00am prompt

3. CENTRE FOR TRAINING COMMUNITY HEALTH OFFICERS      

The training which lasts for two calendar years will commence in September, 2021. It leads to the award of Higher Diploma in Community Health. 

Entry Requirements: 

Basic educational equalization: Candidates must possess five Credit passes obtained in not more than two sittings in WASCE/GCE/NECO) in the following subjects, English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry. Additional qualifications: Candidates must possess any of the following professional qualifications and experience: 

i. Diploma in Community Health (DCH) with not less than two (2) years post qualification experience. 

ii. Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) with five (5) years post qualification experience. 

Method of Application: 

Admission forms are obtainable at the office of the Coordinator, Centre for Training Community Health Officers UBTH, Benin City, on payment of a non-refundable fee of Ten Thousand Naira (N 10, 000) only into UBTH Account with T SA using REMITA platform in any Commercial bank in Nigeria. Deadline for obtaining and submission of completed admission form is July 2nd, 2021.
