The College of Community Health, University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH), invites applications from interested candidates for admission into the Higher Diploma in Community Health Officers from suitably qualified candidates.
General Requirement
- Two (2)-Year Programme
- Applicants must possess a Diploma in Community Health (CHEW) with a valid licence, and a minimum of five (5) credits in SSCE (WAEC/NECO and NABTEB), obtained in not more than two sittings, which must include:
- English
- Mathematics
- Biology or Health Science
- Physics
- Chemistry
Candidates must be registered with the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria.
One (1)-Year Programme
Applicants must possess a Diploma in Community Health (CHEW) with a valid licence, and a minimum of five (5) credits in SSCE (WAEC/NECO and NABTEB), obtained in not more than two sittings, which must include:
- English
- Mathematics
- Biology or Health Science
- Physics
- Chemistry
Candidates must be registered with the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria and possess any of the following qualifications:
- B.Sc. in Community Health
- B.Sc. in Public Health
- B.Sc. in Health Education
METHOD OF APPLICATION
Interested candidates should pay the sum of:N10,000 for the one-year programme, and N5,000 for the **two-year programme at the UMTH Billing Office, and obtain application forms from the College of Community Health, UMTH.
With effect from 25th June, 2026, to 25th July, 2026, all completed application forms must be returned to the College of Community Health (CHO) on or before 25th July, 2026.
ENTRANCE EXAMINATION AND INTERVIEW
Candidates who satisfy the basic entry requirements shall be invited for an entrance examination and interview on 3rd August 2026 to 7th August 2026.
