A non-governmental organization working on the improvement of health equity through sustained research, program delivery, technical assistance, and education will be providing technical support through a short-term implementation engagement for the Key Population Size Estimation Study 2022.

Job Description
- The UoM State Representative will operate as a liaison between the state and the project team, overseeing all activities related to the KPSE survey for the assigned state.
- During the duration of the job, the state representative will oversee all operations within the state.
Duties and Responsibilities
The State representative will serve in the following capacities:
- Maintain liaison between the field team and the core technical team both at the national (PIT) and state levels.
- Plan all field activities and ensure logistic and communication support for all field team members.
- Train field teams at the state level and provide real-time hands-on support during implementation in line with the provisions of the field implementation manual.
- Support the team supervisors to plan daily data collection tasks and monitor the data collection process in the field.
- Conduct regular meetings with the teams (morning and evening debriefings) to highlight field problems and provide solutions and clarification to questions that may arise from field activities.
- Motivate the team during field activities implementation, boosting their morale and helping them navigate through challenging periods.
- Provide regular updates to the State Technical Committee periodically.
- Participate in the weekly national field implementation activities review.
- Conduct all delegated work assigned by the UOM national Team Lead.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Public Health, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Health Sciences, or related fields. A Master's in Public Health will be an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing research activities, including qualitative/quantitative data collection.
- Residents in the selected state are strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, management, and administrative skills.
- Experience in carrying out key population surveys is desirable and will be an advantage.
- Experience in management and coordination of human resources activities.
- Ability to communicate in English and the local language is required.
- Should have an excellent working knowledge of the intended state and its LGAS.
- Proficiency in computer use is an advantage.
