ADMISSION INTO SCHOOL OF POST-BASIC ORTHOPAEDIC NURSING
2014/2015 SESSION
Application are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the School of Post-Basic Orthopaedic Nursing at the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Dala-Kano. The course is designed for specialized training in Orthopaedic Nursing The duration of the programme is twelve calendar months commencing in November, 2014.
1. COURSE CONTENTS:
• Lectures (Theory and Practical demonstrations)
• Seminars/Conferences/Workshops
• Case studies and Group presentations
2. ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:
• Applicants must be registered Nurses (SRN) or (RN) with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria
• Applicant must have five credits in science subjects including English language, mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology
• A minimum of two years post qualification working experience is required
• Previous experience of Orthopaedic Nursing is an advantage
• Candidates must be sponsored for the course. Sponsoring authorities will responsible forthe payment oftheir candidate's salaries and allowances whilst in training.
ACCOMMODATION
The course is non-residential but limited accommodation is available on first come first serve basis.

A payment of a non-refundable fee of N5,OOO.00 is made payable to FIRST BANK PlC; Account Number: 2024008617. The bank teller must be tendered before collection of application form.
5. CLOSING DATE:
Completed application forms duly endorsed by sponsors together with photocopies of relevant credentials must be forwarded to the Medical Director, National Orthopaedic Hospital. Dala-Kano to reach him not later than May 31st 2014. Candidates should note that there would be a written and oral interview on 17th and 18th June, 2014 starting from 8:30am on each day.
