Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidaetes for admission into the Delta State School of Health Technology, Ofuoma-Ughellil for the 2014/15 academic session.

3. ENTRY QUALIFICATION:
Ai COMMUNITY HEALTH EXTENSION WORKERS(CHEW) COURSE
Prospective candidates should possess Five (5) credits at WASC, NECO, or GCE 'O' Level at not more than Two (2) sittings, The Five credits must be in the following subjects, A credit in Geography or Chemistry will be an added advantage.
Retrainee JCHEW : Prosepective candidates must be holders of JCHEW certificate with at least Two (2) years of post-qualification in addition to (Ai) above.
Aii. JUNIOR COMMUNITY HEALTH EXTENSION WORKER (JCHEW) COURSE
Prospective candidates mus obtain Four (4) passes in WASC, NECO, SSSC, or GCE 'O' leverl examination at not more than Two (2) sittings, The Five (5) passes Science, Mathematics and any other Two (2) relevant subjects. A pass in Geography or Chemistry will be ab advantage.
Bi. DISPENSING OPTICIANRY COURSE
Prospective Candidates should possess Four credit passes in WASC, SSSC, NECO or GCE 'O'level examinations. The Four (4) credit passes should be in the following subjects; Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and English Language
Ci. ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH OFFICERS'S COURSE
Prospective candidates should possess Five credit passes in WASC, SSSC, NECO or GCE 'O'level examinations at not mote than Two (2) sitting or ots equivalent as may be approved by EHORECON or WAHEB,The subjects must include: English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Health Science, Chemistry and Physics.
Cii. ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN COURSE
Prospective candidates should possess Four (4) passess in WASC, SSSC, and GCE 'O' level or NECO GRADE II or NABTEB certificates at not more include a pass in one (1) Science subject, Biology/Health Science, Chemistry, Nutrition, Physics, General Science or Integrated Science and English Language.
Note: Combined results for Gi - Gii must be from the same examination body. i.e. SSCE and SSCE or NECO and NECO
HEALTH EDUCATION COURSE
Prospective candidates should include Mathematics, English Language, Biology or Health Science and One (1) of the following subjects: Chemistry, Economics or Geography at not more than two (2) sittings.
HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT COURSE 
Prospective candidates must possess Five (5) credit passes in WASC, SSSC, GE 'O; level, NECO or NABTEB examination or its equivalent, which must include credit in English Language, Biology/Health Science, Chemistry/ Physics, Mathematics and any one other subject at not more than Two (2) sittings
NUTRITION AND DIETETICS
Prospective candidates should possess Four (4) credits passes in WASC, SSSC and GCE 'O' level or NECO examination at not more than Two sittings. The subjects must include: Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and any other Two of te following: Mathematics, Food and Nutrition, Physics, Economics/Commerce, Health Science, Home Management, English Language , Basic Catering and Food Services. At least, passes in English Language and Mathematics are compulsory.
G. MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN COURSE
Prospective candidates must posses Five (5) credit passes at not more than Two (2) sittings in WASC, SSSC, GCE 'O' level, NECO or NABTEB examinations. The subjects  must include credits in Biology, Chemistry, English Language, Mathematics and a pass in Physics
Gii. MEDICAL LABORATORY ASSISTANT COURSE
Prospective candidates should possess Three (3) credit passes at not more than Two (2) sittings, In WASC, SSSC, GCE 'O' level, NEO or NABTHEB examinations, These must include credits in Biology, English Language, Mathematics and a pass in Chemistry
Giii. Retrainee MLA:  Prosepctive candidates must possess Medical Laboratory Assistant Certificate with Two (2) yeats post qualification in additions to Gi above 
Candidates for Medical Laboratory  Technician/Assistant whose SSSC, NECO or its equivalent qualifications are more than Five years by 2014 are not eligible for admission.
Hi PUBLIC HEALTH NURSING COURSE
Prospective candidates must possess Five credit passes in WASC, SSSC, GCE 'O' level or NECO examinations at not more than Two (2) sittings. The subjects must include: English Language, any of the science subject and any other three (3) relevent subjects. Candidates should in addition, possess the professional qualification of Registered Midwife (R.M), with at least Two (2) years post-qualification
Hii. HEALTH ASSISTANT COURSE 
Prospective candidates should possess Five passes in WASC, SSSC, GCE 'O' level or NECO examinations at not more than Two (2) sittings, The passes must include English Language, any of the science subjects and Three (3) passes in relevant sbjects
PHARMACY TECHNICIAN COURSE
Prospective candidates should possess WASC, SSCE, GCE 'O'level or NECO certificates with Four (4) credit passes which must include English language, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology at in WASC, SSSC, GCE 'O' level or NECO examinations at not more than Two (2) sittings. The passes must include English Language, any of the science subjects and Three (3) passes in relevant subjects
PHARMACY TECHNICIAN COURSE 
Prospective candidates should possess WASC, SSCE, GCE 'O' level or NECO certificates with FOur (4) credit passes which must include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology, at not more than Two (2) sittings
Ji. IMAGE PROCESSING TECHNICIAN COURSE 
a. Prospective candidates should possess Tree credit passes in G.C.E., WAEC, SSSC or NECO which must include English, Mathematics and One (1) of either Chemistry, Physics or Biology at nor more than One sitting
Jii. IMAGE PROCESSING ASSESTANTS COURSE 
Prospective candidate should possess Three credit passes in G.C.E., WAEC, SSSC or NECO which either Chemistry, Physics or Biology at not more than One sitting 
Jii. IMAGE PROCESSING ASSISTANTS COURSE 
Prospective candidates must possess at least Four (4) 'O' level passes at not more than One (1) sitting, to include one (1) Science subject and English Language .
4. METHOD OF APPLICATION 
Candidates are to obtain scratch cards from Ecobank on payment of a non-refundable fee of N5,250 (Five Thousand Two Hundred and Fifty naira) only and log on to the Schoold's website: www.delsotecheportal.com to register online.
Candidates are expected to print out an acknowledgement/identification card to be presented on the day of the entrance examination holds on Saturday 7th June 2014 on the School of Health Technology, Ofuoma premises at 10 .00am prompt.
