The alleged no-going admission fraud in Niger state's School of Nursing Bida, which generated public interest, has been denied out-rightly by the Provost of the College, Mr Joseph Garba Sule.
Similarly, the recent with drawal of 64 students out of 131 of them, leaving only 67 students due to poor performance, was a major concern for both students and staff of the college .
According to a reliable source, this has made the school academic borad resolved to allow the entire students move to the next level, which was rejected by the Provost despite the continuous index program facing the school.
According to the source, the most unfortunate thing was that some of the withdraw students found their way back in the state while other were left without an option.
But the Provost, Mr Joseph Sule, while speaking on phone interview at the weekend with our reporter, said the weekend with our reporter, said the with-drawal is normal in th school system: 'it is our rule and regulation for students even before they are offered admission, certain numbers of courses must be passed before going to the next level.
"The decision of academic board overrides any authority, as the board rectified the school results by simple majority and it stands", he said and added that such withdrawal was a continues process from three to six months to one year respectivel, as the higher you go, the less relaxed the policy; but it is better to go now instead of wasting many years and end up getting with-drawn.
It was also gathered that candidates who have the pre-requisite requirements were denied gaining admission in to the school leaving them help in the last admission session.
Investigation revealed that the admission of candidates was marred by fraud because a large number of candidates who passed all the due process of the admission were refused to be admitted in to the college.
But in swift reaction from the Provost Sule, he said there was no such admission fraud in the school. "I believe it is the handwork of detractors who are there to blackmail the system, it is mischievous and inhuman, capable of smearing the food teputation of the school and its management," the echoed.
