Due to expansion, an Emergency Medical Services organisation is recruiting to fill the role of ALS Doctors

1.    ALS Doctors

Specific qualifications - ALS doctors

  General

o   Each ambulance location will be headed by the doctor who should have training and relevant experience to allow him or her handle a wide range of pre-hospital conditions.

 Credentials 

Minimal requirements for Medical Doctors

o   Copy of Certificate of Board Certification by MDCN

o   Copy of university certificate

o   Copy of current practicing licence

o   Copy of Certificate for BLS,ACLS,ITLS,PHTLS,PALS and ATLS

Other Requirements - Minimum Requirements:

o   High degree of personal integrity and responsibility.

o   Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, using good judgment and common sense with a thorough understanding of the principles of emergency medical care at pre hospital level.

o   Ability to work efficiently and interact in a constructive and professional manner with other employees, a partner, public safety personnel, medical staff, and other emergency medical service members.

o   Ability to interact effectively and professionally with patients, customers, clients, family members, bystanders, and the general public in such a manner as to reflect credible professionalism.

o   Demonstrates a level of skill and consistency in the provision of high quality patient care.

o   The ability to perform effectively as team leader in patient care situations.

 Physical Requirements:

o   The ability to lift and manoeuvre 150 pounds with assistance and without difficulty.

o   The ability to walk up and down stairs without difficulty and the ability to lift and carry 150 pounds up and down two flights of stairs with assistance and without difficulty.

o   The ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.

o   The ability to walk one quarter of a mile without difficulty and without affecting the immediate performance of job-related duties.
