Announcing WACP/RCP Doctors as Educators Training Course

The West African College of Physicians’ (WACP) mission is to improve the health of West Africans through excellence in the training of medical specialists, and the provision of high quality health care. The WACP has developed a close and effective partnership with the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) over the past decade.
 
With support from the Ecobank Foundation, the WACP and the RCP are delivering a final “Doctors as Educators” training course as part of the Ecobank-funded M-PACT Project (MDG 6 Partnership for African Clinical Training).
 
> Abuja – 24th – 26th, February, 2016
Venue: National Hospital Abuja, Nigeria
 
The three day training courses will develop the skills necessary for the effective training and supervision of trainees.
 
The course is open only to doctors who have passed their membership examination, i.e. Senior Registrars, fellows and examiners. Being a faculty member of a teaching hospital (or intent to become one) will be an advantage.
 
Attendance is limited to 30 participants, and international participants are welcome. 
 
Acceptance of application(s) is based on availability of spaces, qualifications, and geographical location.
 
Excellent graduates of this course will be enlisted as trainers in the RCP/WACP ECO bank funded M-PACT Project which is currently training over 500 doctors across the West African Sub-region since February 2015.
