News of the failing health of veteran actor, Baba Suwe, hit the internet last weekend and like it has always been, the report was followed by accusations and counter accusations about how he has been abandoned by his colleagues in the industry.
Apparently, the actor, who suffered a stroke and is still dealing with the illness, has been needing help with his medical bills since 2017 and according to the national president of the Theatre Arts and Motions Pictures Producers Association of Nigeria, TAMPAN, Bolaji Amusa, the association has been helping him with the bill, contrary to what is been said on social media.
“I have just instructed the Lagos State executive of the association to check on him to ascertain his health progress. I can tell you that we have not abandoned him, as well as any of our members, as being speculated in some quarters by mischief-makers” Doctors have advised that the actor’s family member hastily fly him abroad to treat the stroke before things get out of hand.
The ailing actor, who is also down financially is now calling on the good Samaritans to come to his rescue with any amount so as to make the move as soon as possible.
