Call for Abstracts: 45th Annual Conference of the Nutrition Society of Nigeria

Abstracts of not more than 250 words, written in English and typed double-spaced in Microsoft Word (2003 or 2007 version) should be submitted to the Conference Secretariat by e-mail attachment to: [email protected] or [email protected], not later than June 30, 2015.

Theme: NUTRITION OUTLOOK- BEYOND 2015 MDGs

Sub-themes:

• MDGs, the journey so far

• Nutrition Sustainable development goals.

• Scaling up Nutrition in Nigeria (SUN)

• Nutrition Policy and Structure in Nigeria

• Nutrition Financing

• Nutrition and Aging

• Dietary Diversification

• Food enrichment and supplemental Challenges to early initiation of breastfeeding in Nigeria

• Challenges to adequate complementary feeding in Nigeria

Instructions for Authors

• The sequence should be as follows: Title, list of Authors, Introduction, aims/objectives, methods, results, conclusion and recommendation.

• An electronic copy of the manuscript typed using Microsoft Word 2003 or 2007 must be submitted in a high quality CD along with 3 hard copies after presentation.

• References should conform to the Nigerian Journal of Nutritional Sciences format.

• Interested authors can have their papers published in the Book of Proceedings-with a processing fee of N3000, payable to the Editor-in-Chief at the conference.

• Abstracts shall be accepted for oral or poster presentation.

All submitted abstracts will be subjected to peer review. Interested reviewers should indicate by sending a mail to [email protected] or [email protected]

NOTE: Late abstract submission from July 1 – July 31 shall attract a fee of N 2000 payable to NSN, Lagos chapter.
