The Board requests original research articles, review articles, case studies and other contemporary issues related to psychiatric mental health and health related practices.

The Format for writing is as below:-
Articles:
Should include research articles, clinical reports, case studies, new methods and approaches to Management and Nursing Care of patients, particularly mentally ill patients, issues of health policy and other health related items.
Manuscripts:
Should be typed double-spaced, font 12, using Times New Roman characters and should not exceed 12 pages excluding abstracts, tables, figures and references. The articles must have the following as guidelines, Research Article:
Title of Article and Author(s), Name(s), Address(es), qualification(s).
Abstract: Of not more than 200 - 250 words and should include Background,, Methods and Materials, Findings and Conclusions/Implications for Nursing. Key words of about 3 – 5 words on the main themes of the articles.
Body of the Articles: Background/Introduction, Review of related Literature, Statement of the research problem and objectives, tools used and Method/Design, Findings/Results, Discussion of Finding and Conclusions/Recommendations.
References:
Use American Psychological Association (APA) referencing style, e.g. for a journal: Denga, D.I. (1994). “Executive Stress: Its effects and Management” West African Journal of Nursing Vol. 3 No. 2 Page 23 – 30
or for a textbook:
Denga D.I. (1994). Executive Stress: Its Rape and Management. Calabar; Rapid Educational Pub. Limited. For Project: Author’s name and initials, year of publication, Title of work, Edition, State of Publication and Publishers.
Tables and Figures: Should be on separate pages with the appropriate titles.
Submission of Article Manuscript on A4 paper and or soft copies on flash or a CD Rom of the Article.
