Applications are invited from suitable qualified candidates for admission into (two) years community Health Officers Training Programmes in the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, Port Harcourt, leading to the award of a Higher Diploma in Community Health. ENTRY QUALIFICATION

Eligible candidates must be physically and mentally fit and possess aby of the following requirements:

 

1.  Diploma in Community Health with less than two years post-qualification experience plus 5 (five) credit it levels passes in SSCE  (WAEC, NECO or GCE O/L)  at not more than two sittings, which must include, English Language, Mathematics and Biology/Health Science,

 

2.  Community Health Extension worker with five years experience, 5 (five) credit level passes in SSCE (WAEC, NECO or GCE O/L) at more than two sittings which must include: English Language, Mathematics and Biology/Health Science.

 

3.  Applicants must be registered with the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria and possesses a valied practice licence

 

METHOD OF APPLICATION 

Applicants should pay a non-refundable fee of N5,000.00 (five thousand naira) only into UPTH account No. 0008832954 with Sterling Bank, (UPTH Branch and obtain recipts from the office of the office of the Assistant Director (Finance). They should on presentation of evidence of such payment obtain forms from the Administrative office, Community Health Officers Programme complex from 2nd May to 24th June 2016.

 

Entrance examination would be conducted on Monday 4th July, 2016 while the oral interview will be communicated to candidates on the day of examination.
