Fed. Perm. Sec Donates Drugs, Hospital Equipment To Hospitals In Zamfara

The permanent secretary of the Federal Ministry of Interior, Alhaji Abubakar Mgaji, has donated drugs and medical equipment to eight General Hospitals and primary health care centers in Zamfara state.
 
Alhaji Abubakar Magaji, represented by Alhaji Suleiman Zumunchi, told newsmen in Gusau on Friday that the equipment donated included beds, nets, mattresses and drugs.
 
Zumunci, who did not disclose the cost said the donation was aimed at complementing government efforts to improve health care delivery at all levels in the state.
 
According to him the General Hospitals that would benefit from the donation included those located in Gummi, Bukkuyum, Shinkafi, Zurmi and Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital, Gusau.
 
The health centers that would benefit are Kogo Bello primary health care center Gusau, Primary health care centers in Nahuce Bungudu local government area and Bilbis in Tsafe local government area.
 
“The permanent secretary had also sponsored medical and health bills to over 200 patients for treatment of their ailments.
 
“Assistance of drugs and cash have also given to diabetes patients in the state through state chapter of Diabetes Association of Nigeria (DAN)”, he said.
