The Board of Management of the Federal Medical Centre, Yole hereby invites applications from interested and suitably qualified candidates for the position of Medical Director of the Centre.
Responsibilities:
• The Medical Director is the Head/Chief Executive of the Institution, He is accountable to the Board of Management and the Honourable Minister of Health.
• The Director is charged with the responsibility for the execution of policies and matters affecting the day-to-day management of the affairs of the hospital.
• The successful candidates is also expected to provide the required Medical, Administrative and Professional leadership for the hospital.
Requirements:
Applicants for this post must:
• Be medicallu qualified and registered as such by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) for a period of not less than twelve (12) years
• Possess a Postgraduate Fellowship of National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or of the West African College of Surgeons/Physicians or its equivalent.
• Be a Consultant for at least five (5) years.
• Be of proven good character and integrity.
• Have mental stability and ability to provide the needed "Servant Leadership" to take the Centre to the next level.
• Be gainfully employed at the time of application
• Have knowledge of Computer/ICT
Salary & Allowances:
Salary and allowances will be in accordance with Public Service Salary Structure for this category of Officer.
Tenure of Office:
• The appointment is for an initial term of four (4) years in the first instance and may be renewed, subject to satisafactory performance at the discretion of Mr. President for another term of four (4) years.

• Fifteen (15) copies with up-to-date curriculum vitae, copies of relevant credentials together with names and addresses of three (3) referees.
• One of the Medical or Dental Practitioner of NOT LESS than twenty (20) years post qualification experience and who should be in a position to attest to the candidate's academic, professional and managerial abilites as well as moral character and uprightnes.
• Confidential reports from the referees should be submitted in separate envelopes marked 'confidential',
• Applicant must be ready to support every claim with documentary evidence (where required) and bring the orginals of all his/her credentials if invited for interview.
• Applicant shall also enclose his or her Vision Statement for the Hospital for the next four (4) years in not more than one thousand (1,000) words.
