A health programme to assist Nigerians with eye problems regain their sight. Free Eye Screening Exercises in the South West Zone will commence on 9th January, 2014 at The Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Guinness Eye Centre. Free surgical Operations for identified patients will follow as from Monday 13th January, 2014. 

Free screening and surgery are also going on simultaneously under the scheme in the following hospitals for South West, Nigeria: 

1. Eye Foundation Hospital, Ijebu Mushin will cover the Ogun State and Ondo State . 

2. Eleta Eye Institute, Ibadan will cover Oyo State and parts of Osun State. 

3. Obafemi .Awolowc University Teaching Hospital Complex, Ile-Ife will cover Osun State and Ekiti State.
