Don't be fooled that she has forgotten that ARD was the first to summon up courage to confront the goddess of FMC OWERRI. Only those who do not know Angela will dream so. EFCC has taken her to court for only one crime revolving around the acquisition of CT Scan. The amount involved is mind boggling. Patiently read below to the end We are waiting for others including buildings, inexistent gas piping, missing vehicles etc among other financial crimes. This excludes a legion of other non financial crimes bordering on staff welfare which is the major factor uniting staff against her. Dr AKUKWU DARLINGTON, NMA CHAIRMAN, IMO STATE should explain his role to Imo people and state how much he got from Angela the ATM machine. NMA should never be associated with corruption otherwise we may have to remind Buhari to repeat what he did to Nigerian Medical Association in his first missionary journey just as he is repeating most of his actions thèn. Angela Uwakwem sacked a consultant for refusing to spy on another consultant among other atrocities against doctors.  I really pity NMA. Below is details of the existing court case by EFCC against her which has been fixed for Nov 15 at the State High court Owerri.

For record purposes, EFCC has confirmed instituting a criminal proceeding against Angela Uwakwem.

The suit no is HOW/1C/EFCC/2016. Parties are FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA VS Dr Angela Uwakwem, Emmanuel Ajayi and Swiss Biostadt Ltd as accused persons.

Conspiracy contrary to Section 26 (1)(c) of the Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Act, 2000 and punishable under Section 26(1)(d) and 22(3) of the same Act.

Dr Angela Uwakwem while being the medical director of Federal Medical Centre Owerri, IMO state, Emmanuel Ajayi, managing director of Swiss Biostadt Ltd  and Swiss Biostardt Ltd sometime between 2014 and 2015 in Owerri within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court did conspire to commit a felony to wit: inflation of prices of goods above the prevailing market price in the award of contract for the supply of Apron and other accessories for GE BRIVO CT SCAN and award of contract for the supply of various medical equipment and thereby committed an offence.
