International Nursing Review Call for Papers

Special issue of International Nursing Review, December 2016 Nurses and midwives engaging in policy and policy development
All submissions should contribute to and emphasise policy, policy development or policy reform related to one or more of the following topics: preparation of nurses and midwives and other health workers, care delivery systems, health care financing, ethical issues in health care, the determinants of health, regulation of the profession, workplace issues, innovations in practice, patient safety, quality improvement education, nurses’ and midwives’ working conditions, and the impact of globalization and technology on nursing policy, health policy or social policy.
 
Types of submissions should be of one of the following:
1. Research on nursing policy, health policy or social policy that has a direct impact on the health and well-being of populations, or on
professional practice. Such research can include systematic reviews and policy analysis.
2. A description of innovative practice that has a strong emphasis on policy and policy development.
3. An audit of best practice that has policy implications.
4. Theoretical or scholarly critiques of an issue related to health or nursing politics and policy.
5. Experiences from the field related to nurses’ engagement in policy and policy development.
 
Other important information:
  1. Please submit your manuscript no later than 1 April 2016. All submissions will be reviewed by experts in health and nursing policy.
  2. All submissions should emphasise a global intelligence on the topic being discussed, to appeal to our international readership, and utilize the most up to date evidence available when citing literature. 
  3. All submissions must be uploaded through the INR ScholarOne Manuscript system and follow the INR Author Guidelines to be found here.
