Good day my colleagues... 

 

I want to salute your courage and togetherness in this ongoing struggle to get what rightfully belongs to us.

 

To everyone reading this article, I believe you must have seen the press release from the NMA President where the write up tried to make the public and JOHESU members believe that their salaries were not increased but was only corrected in 2014, 2016 and 2017 based on the agreement they had with the Federal Government and that the sakary they have been receiveing was not the correct salary for the past 20years.

 

That in 2014 they and the FG now entered into an agreement to be receiving the bogus salary and there by maintaining the relativity between them and other health workers.

 

The letter also implied that what ever makes the FG accede to JOHESU demands and increase other health workers salaries that entails that thiers would alos be increased automatically

 

They even went ahead to calculate the new salary for other health workers and what would be added to theirs "THE COST IMPLICATION FOR ADJUSTING CONHESS AND APPLYING THE RELATIVITY RATES TO CONMESS AFTER ADJUSTING CONHESS IS ESTIMATED TO BE TWENTY ONE BILLION SEVEN HUNDRED MILLION NAIRA, #21,7BILLION. ONLY,  #8.7BILLION TO JOHESU WHILE #13 BILLION TO CONMESS RESPECTIVELY). 

 

They said they entered into agreement with the FG in 2014 which lead to the new salary they are currently earning. Please note that no other union leaders were present at that meeting (UNLIKE WHAT HAPPENED IN THE LAST QUARTER OF 2009,THAT BROUGHT ABOUT  THE  CONHESS IN JANUARY 2010).

 

You might ask yourself who is the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT we all seem to be talking about?: THE MINISTER OF HEALTH IS A MEDICAL DOCTOR, THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR HEALTH IS A MEDICAL DOCTOR, THE MINISTER OF LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT IS A MEDICAL DOCTOR, THE PERMANENT SECRETARY MINISTRY OF HEALTH IS A MEDICAL DOCTOR... This is just to mention a few).

 

So the agreement they entered into was biased and totaly one sided, if it was a neutral person heading the ministry as mentioned above, they would never approve that agreement because they are not the only ones woking in the health sector.

 

HOW CAN YOU TRY TO CONVINCE EVERY ONE THAT YOU ENTERED INTO AGREEMENT WITH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO EARN (AS A STUDENT IN TRAINING, (REGISTRAR CONMESS 2) WHO GOVT IS PAYING HIS SCHOOL FEES  ABOVE A CHIEF NURSING OFFICER (FULL STAFF OF THE HOSPITAL) WHO HAS SPENT MORE THAN 30YEARS IN SERVICE......... 

 

Thinking about this is actually wickedness, implementing and actualizing it is devilish. 

 

HOW CAN A STUDENT THAT THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SPOON FEED BY PAYING THEIR SCHOOL FEES EARN MORE THAN A FULL SENIOR STAFF THAT IS CLOSE TO RETIREMENT, THAT IS AN ABERRATION. 

 

JOHESU recently uprooted a video presently circulating around social media, on that video Prof Adewole was the then ARD President and he declared an indefinite strike agaist the FG ( ND OUR PRESENT PRESIDENT PMB  WAS THE THEN HEAD OF STATE). PLEASE NOTE THAT NO WORK NO PAY CIRCULARS WAS NOT USED ON HIM BUT NOW HE HAS FORGOTTEN THAT HE WAS ONCE A STRIKE MASTER BACK THEN. 

 

Dear colleagues, dont be fooled by these guys, lets all remain focussed and avoid any distractionscoming from their angles. This struggle is NOW or NEVER, we must fight it to the end.
