Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admissions into the Under- listed Part-Time Degree and Diploma Programmes in Lagos State University.

Degree and Diploma Programmes

DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICAL AND HEALTH EDUCATION

DIPLOMA IN PHYSICAL AND HEALTH EDUCATION (2 YEARS)

Candidates who possess. any of the following qualifications are eligible to apply for admission into the 2-year Diploma in PhySical and Health Education Programme.

i. Senior Secondary Schoo! Certificate with at least three (3) Credit Passes. it Passes.

ii. Grade 11 Teachers Certificate with at least three (3) Merit Passes General Certificate of Education (GCE) with at least three (3) Credit Passes at '0' Level.

iI. Mature candidates not less than 35 years of age who are also internationalfnationalfathlete With MedalsiCerlihcates can benefit from the programme with at least two (2)credits

GENERAL BASIC REQUIREMENTS .

Five (5)'0' Level Credits or TC 1/ Metit Passes at not more than two (2) sittings wlth (2) two of the subjects at 'A'Level or NCE Metit Passes in relevant areas.

ii.A University/Polytechnic 2-year Diploma Certificate in the relevant areas obtained at not less than Merit level.

iii. Advanced Diploma in Sports from Nigerian Institute for Sports

SPECIFIC SUBJECTS AREA REQUIREMENTS

English Major: Credit Passes in literature in English and English Language 0' Level or its equivalent

ii. Economics Major: Credit Passes in English Language and Mathematics

iii. Physical and Health Education, Social Studies, Political Science Majors; At least a Credit Pass in English Language and a Pass in Mathematics at '0' Level' of its equivalent.

iv. Health Education Major: (i) A Credit Pass in English Language and a Pass in Mathematics (ii) Holders of Staff registered Nurse and Midwifery Certificates are also eligible.

Mathematics and SCience Major: Credit Passes in Mathematics and English Language

NOTE:

(il ) General English at NCE is acceptable for '0' Level English for all courses except English major

(ii) Merit in Arithmetic Possessed at TC is acceptable as equivalent for 'O'Level Mathematics, Other Considerations:

i. Mature candidates with passes at NCE who are not less than 35years of age may be considered

ii. ICAN (Part II) CIS (Part II) are acceptable for Economics.
