Madonna University, Nigeria is the first Private Catholic University in the West African Region and also the First Private University to be approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria. Madonna University Nigeria commenced full Academic Programmes in 1999. This noble Institution was founded by Very Rev. Fr. Prof. EMP. Edeh CSSP OFR.

Madonna University was brought into being by the admirable effort of Very Rev. Fr. Prof. EMP. Edeh CSSP OFR. in a bid to salvage the gross decay of the then Education and Morals in the Nigerian Society; especially in schools. The Founder sought to combine provision of holistic education at affordable cost to the benefit of all, rich and poor alike, with sound moral formation of character building. He appreciated that without these any form of education can be turned into a formidable instrument of destruction of the human person.

This dictum is not meant to be a mere paper proclamation of good intentions, but a guiding philosophy of its entire University life. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES
Five (5) O' Level Credit Level Passes at not more than two sittings to include English Language and Mathematics and three (3) other subjects relevant to course of study.
MODE OF APPLICATION FOR UNDERGRADUATES (UTME)
* All prospective undergraduates who passed in the most recent JAMB UTME are qualified to apply.
* Candidates awaiting SSCE result or its equivalent are also eligible to apply for admission provided the result will be available on resumption in September, 2016.
* Candidates should collect Screening forms from any of our three (3) campuses or any branch of Mayfresh Mortgage Bank Nation-wide
* Screening for Admission is FREE
* All intending Candidates must undergo medical examination in Madonna University Medical Centres on payment of necessary medical fees.
