MCPDP is Mandatory continuing Professional Development Programme. The programme is a brain child of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria which was established in March 2010. The programme was designed for all cadres of nurses and is to be undertaken throughout their professional nursing career. It is a continuous formal learning programme within and outside the practice setting.

 

The MCPDP was conceived and developed for implementation so that professional nurses can remain relevant and kept abreast with modern trends  in the area of practice.
