2nd MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENCE EDUCATIONWORKSHOP
 
Titled
MLSCN BASICS ON TRAINING INSTITUTIONS ACCREDITATION, PROGRAMME ASSESSMENT AND PROFESSIONAL EXAMINATIONS.
 
This workshop is intended for Council Assessors, Coordinators and Examiners, Accreditation Resource Persons, Programme Assessment and Coordination of Professional Examinations and Marking of Examination scripts. It is also intended to update Deans/Heads of Departments, Programme Coordinators and Lecturers under Council regulation on their roles during accreditation and conduct of professional examinations.
 
TARGET AUDIENCE
The workshop is for all Deans of Faculties, Heads of Departments and Course/Programme Coordinators in Universities, Colleges and Schools offering Medical Laboratory Science programmes, Professors and other Scientists with higher degrees who may wish to serve Council in any of the capacities mentioned above. Scientists with higher qualifications in Teaching Hospitals/Federal Medical Centres/State Hospitals who are involved in training/supervising students on Lab posting are also eligible to apply.
 
 
QUALIFICATION: Minimum of M.Sc or FMLSCN with current Practicing License.
 
WORKSHOP FEE: N50,000.00 per participant (covering Tea Break, Lunch, Certificate and Workshop materials).
MLSCN ACCREDITATION: 5 CPD Credits

Date:            20th – 24th April, 2015
Venue:         Benin, Edo State
 
METHOD OF APPLICATION/REGISTRATION
Intending participants shall apply to the Registrar/CEO, Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria through this E-mail address – [email protected] stating in full name, qualifications, specialty/discipline, name of Institution, e-mail address, phone numbers and attached evidence of payment. Payment shall be to Council’s First Bank of Nigeria PLC Account number 2004795410.
 
There shall be no collection of money at the venue please. Since limited number of participants will be taken, all applications should reach Council not later than 12th April, 2015. Short listed participants will be contacted via supplied e-mail and phone numbers for other necessary information. Consideration is based on first come, first serve.
 
SPECIAL APPEAL:
Council hereby requests training institutions to sponsor at least two (2) participants to the workshop other than those sponsored for the same Workshop in 2013.
