MEDICAL OFFICERS VACANCIES
HEART CENTER, ST. JOSEPHS HOSPITAL, ADAZI-NNUKWU, ANAMBRA STATE JOB VACANCY
The Heart Center is a brand new international standard facility with capacity for 12 ICU and 12 Ward beds, 2 executive suites, 2 theaters equipped with state of the art equipment providing the full spectrum of services in cardiology and cardiovascular surgery. Job Title: Resident Doctor The successful candidate will provide outpatient cardiovascular consultations and manage inpatient services under the supervision of either a Consultant Cardiologist or Cardiovascular surgeon. Candidate will also provide emergency services 24/7 (on shared rotation with another physician). Participate in data acquisition for any ongoing research studies.
Required Qualification:
. Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB,BS) degree from a recognized Institution
. Full registration with the Nigerian Medical and Dental Council
Required Skills:
. Good communication (written & oral) and interpersonal skills, must be a team player
. Computer literate, ability to use Microsoft office, health information system (HIS) applications
. Keen interest in cardiovascular related clinical research
. Eagerness to learn and improve skills, and ability to provide first class high standard evidence based medicine with compassion
. Proficiency with EKG and basic knowledge of echocardiography
. Current certification in ACLS/ATLS
Position best suited for those interested in specializing in cardiology or cardiovascular surgery
Experience:
. Minimum of 2 years post National Youth Service Corp
. Postgraduation experience in Cardiology or Cardiovascular surgery an added advantage
