Imisi Partners is an Africa focused business development company (BDC) with offices in Istanbul and Lagos. Our firm is essentially a hybrid between a traditional investment company and an operating company. 

As a Medical Writer you will be working as part of a team to produce high-quality and audience focused medical content. You could be working on a patient brochure on a Tuesday, a 3D animation on a Wednesday and a patient information video on a Thursday and preparing a research paper on friday– the job is varied and challenging. You will be reporting to the Chief of Surgery and. In addition, you may be required to report to other members of thebusiness on a project by project basis.

You will be responsible for and lead on a number of projects, working closely with the creative and account management teams to deliver exceptional work.

Core responsibilities

• Medical writing

o You will work across a number of fast paced and interesting therapy areas, including arthroscopy, sports medicine, bone and joint disease, orthopedic surgery, pain management and much more. You will receive briefs for a range of materials. You will research and understand a therapy area and challenge in detail. You will combine and filter this information to present high quality, relevant and focused content.

• Business development

o You will work with the Strategic Director and other client facing members of our team to arm them with the knowledge and insights to support business development activities. This includes coming up with proactive ideas, staying abreast of new data/guideline releases and responding to brand specific challenges.

Required skills

• You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

• You must work well in a team and have a positive attitude

• You must have an eye for detail

• You must be a capable and fast learner – willing and eager to pick up new therapeutic areas within a few

days

• You must have an MSc/PhD in a scientific field, such as Biomedical Sciences (exceptional candidates with aBSc and relevant experience may be considered)
