Medicine Sans Frontieres is a private non profit international humanitarian organisation dedicated to providing medical assistance to populations in crisis without discrimination and regardless of race, religion, creed or political affilliation.

Since June 2008 in close collaboration with Jigawa Ministry of Health, MSF has been active in Jahun General Hospital with the objective of improving access to obstetric and neonatal care for woman of childbearing age in order to reduce the maternal and neonatal mortality rates and increase the quality of care for women with existing fistula.

To be able to cover some Human Resources goes (annual leave, maternity leave, sick leave etc) or to response effectively to an eventual increase of the activity, MSF wants to constitute a pool of medical daily workers that can be called at any time in case of need.

The French Section of Medicines Sans Frontieres is recruiting for its project in Jahun:

1. Midwives

2. Nurses

Required Skills and Conditions:

. Fluent in spoken and written English and Hausa (preferably)

. Essential working experience of at least one year in relevant jobs

. Compassionate, flexible and committed personality

Skills Wished:

Self directed, strong critical thinking skills, a good listener, nun judgemental, strong clinical skills, able to adapt in already running program

Work Location:

Jahun MSF Base and General Hospital Jigawa State (Nigeria)

Contract:

208 working hours per month and roster flexibility required
