Posted on: Tue 26-04-2016

The conference is providing an opportunity for midwives, nurses and other healthcare professionals to update their midwifery knowledge and skills, recognising the importance of key practice areas that contribute toward saving lives. It also provides a platform to engage critical stakeholders in government, private sector and the non-governmental sectors, to improve the delivery of midwifery services in Nigeria, and around the world.

The objectives for this conference are as follows:
To encourage the ethos of life-long learning, placing women and their families at the centre of care.
To highlight key and significant childbearing priorities to policy makers and key officials, with the aim of informing the political platform.
