FOR 2013/2014 SESSION
ADMISSION INTO FULL TIME DIPLOMA COURSE IN POST BASIC:
. School of Orthopaedic Nursing
. School of Burns/Plastic Nursing
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into any of the above named Post Basic Nursing Diploma Programmes
Requirements:
. Posses the West African School Certificate/GCE/NECO or their acceptable equivalent with Credits in five (5) subjects at one sitting including English Language and MAthematics and at least Two (2) science subjects viz; Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
. Be a registered nurse with the NUrsing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria
. Have at least 1 year post qualification experience in the clinical area
. Show evidence of sponsorship/release throughout the period of training by an institution or voluntary agencies
. Evidence of physical fitness
Method of Application
Application forms are obtainable from the coordinator of each programme on presentation of receipt for payment of non refundable fee of (5000) five thousand naira only. Forms are available at the schools now.
Duration of the Course
The duration of the course is Twelve (12) calenda months comprising two semesters.
Closing Date;
Application forms duly compleated together with photocopies of relevant credentials including valid Nursing Licences should be forwarded to the course Coordinator of the programme of choice not later than:
30th June 2013
Test and Selection Interview
Written test and oral interviews will be conducted at the Post Basic Nursing Schools as follows:
Orthopaedic Nursing 7th August, 2013
Burns/Plastic Nursing 14th August, 2013
Accommodation
The hospital has accomodation for the selcted successful candidates during the period of the course.
