National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria presents 3-Day Training Workshop in Basic & Advanced Life Support for Healthcare Professionals
 
Aim and objectives
To provide adequate knowledge and skills in CPR through lectures, interactions and hands-on experience
To attain proficiency in Basic Life Support and competency in Advanced Life Support
 
The course is intended for
All cadres of Doctors and other Senior Health Professionals but particularly
i. Those working in the ICU, A & E and Operating Theaters
ii. Surgeons ,Physicians, Gynaecologists and Paediatricians
iii. Resident Doctors, Medical Officers and Nurses.
 
Modalities:
i. Lectures, discussions and practical sessions
ii. It shall be entirely interactive with lots of hands –on session
iii. The workshop will comply with established standard and guidelines of training with the use of relevant mannequins.

* Cardiac Arrest: Definition – History – Causes
* Clinical Features /Diagnosis of Cardiac Arrest
* Basic Life Support
* Management of the Airway
* Cardiac monitoring and Rhythm recognition
* Defibrillation
* Drugs for resuscitation
* Treatment Algorithms
* Cardiac arrest in special circumstances
* Pacing
* Ethics and Legal Aspect 
* Bereavement
* Management of Peri-Arrest Arrhythmias.

Course Fees: N75, 000.00k Non- Residential
