The National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria hereby invites all Fellows and Convoking Fellows to its 32nd Annual Convocation Ceremony for the Award of Fellowships and prizes of the College on THURSDAY, 18th SEPTEMBER, 2014

A. HIGHLIGHTS OF THE CEREMONY INCLUDE:

1. Conferment of Distinguished Fellowship Awards.

2. Address by the Honourable Minister of Health

3. Address by the Honourable Minister of Education.

4. Address by His Excellency, The Governor of Lagos State,

5. Address by His Special Guest of Honour.

6. Convocation Lecture by Dr.M.O.Araoye, FMCP.

7. Award of Fellowships and Prizes.

B. PROGRAMMES OF EVENTS

1. Thursday 11th September, 2014

PRE-CONVOCATION PRESS CONFERENCE

Venue: KM 26, Badagry Expressway, ijanikin, Lagos

Time: 12.00 noon.

2. Wednesday, 17th September, 2014

Faculty-based activities

Scientific Session/Workshop by Faculties

Venue: College Premises OR as announced by each Faculty Board

Time: 9.00am - 6.00pm

3. Thursday, 18th September, 2014

CONVOCATION CEREMONY

8.00am - All Convokees are to assemble at the College Premises for a mandatory rehearsal

9.00am - Convocation Ceremony at the College Premises. KM 26, Lagos Badagry Expressway, Ijanikin, Lagos.

10.30 Convocation Lecture by Dr.M.O.Araoye, FMCP

1.00pm Convocation Luncheon (BY INVITATION)

C. FELLOWS ROBES (NON CONVOKEES)

i. Robes can be purchased at the cost of N15,000.00 (Payment for this should be made in advance by Fund Transfer or ATM transaction (No Cash transaction) into College account as stated in D ii. Below

ii. PERIOD OF COLLECTION:

Robes can be collected from 9.00 am on Thursday 4th Septmber to Wednesday 17th September, 2014.

CONVOKING FELLOWS:

i. Admission fee for a Convokee and one Guest is N50,000.00 (Fifty thousand naira only). This includes the Enrolment fee, Cap, Hood, Gown, Certificate Scroll with College Crest, Plaque, Tie/Scarf & Brochure.

ii. MODE OF PAYMENT

Full payment should be made directly through FUNDS TRANFEER or ATM into the College Account at any branch of GTB PLC

iii. DRESS CODE:

Convoking males sould wear black or brown suits, while females should wear black or brown skirt suits,

Please note that any Convoking fellow not appropriately dresses shall not participate in the event.

E. PERSONALISED PLAQUE FOR OLD FELLOWS

Old Fellows who are interested in the College plaque should inform the College, The cost is N6,500.00 (Excluding postage)

F. TRANSPORTATION

i. A bus will leav the car park of the College of Medicine (CMUL), Idi-Araba Lagos at Ijanikin, Lagos on Thursday, 18th September, 2014.

ii. it is hereby emphasized that all Convoking Fellows should assemble in their fellowship robes by 8.00a.m prompt at the Convocation Venue.

iii. ALL GUESTS ARE REQUESTED TO BE SEATED LATEST 9.00AM
