THE NIGERIAN UNIVERSITIES DOCTORAL THESES AWARD SCHEME (NUDTAS): 2013/2014 AWARDS

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

The Nigerian Universities Doctoral Theses Award Scheme (NUDTAS) was established by the National Universities Commission (NUC) to encourage scholarship and academic excellence in postgraduate research in Nigerian universities. The award has been made previously in 2001, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012.

 

Vice-Chancellors of all Nigerian universities with approved PhD programmes are hereby requested to mke their nominations for the year 2013 and 2014 NUDTAS best PhD theses awards. There shall be one nomination for each of the 14 broad disciplines as categorized by the NUC as follows

 

1.  Administration

2. agriculture 

3. Arts 

4. Basic Medical sciences

5. Education

6. Engineering and Tecnology

7. Enviromental Studies 

8. Law

9. Medical and Clinical sciences

10. Pharmacy

11. Sciences (Biological)

12. Sciences (Physical)

13. Social Sciences and 

14. Veterinary Medicine

 

Each nomination should be accompanied by the curriculum vitae of the nominee, a brief justification for the nomination, two nomination, two hrd copies and a soft copy of the thesis and should be sent to reach Dr. S.B. Ramon-Yusuf, Director Research and Innovation, National Universities Commission, Aja Nwachukwu House, No. 26 Aguiyi-Ironsi Street, Maitama District, PMB 237, Garki GPO, Abuja, on or before 31st December, 2014
