In line with the ongoing concerted efforts of the Federal Government to prevent the spread of the deadly Ebola disease in Nigeria, the Comptroller General of Customs Dikko Inde Abdullahi CFR considers the outbreak of EBOLA disease as a national emergency and has consequently declared the status of the service at RED ALERT
 
Accordingly, all Officers and Men in Customs formations nationwide have been directed to strictly adopt all preventive measures in handling luggages and passengers at Seaports, Airports and Land Boarders.
 
All Human remains (corpes) should be immediately reffered to port health services before clearance.
 
The positioning of security agencies at our entry points have been amended with Port health services at the frontline.
 
The Service is and will continue to work in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Health and other relevant agencies towards the success of the various intervention strategies to prevent the spread of the deadly disease.
 
Accordingly all passengers travelling out or coming into the country have been advised to cooperate with the operatives in the interest of the wellbeing of all.
