GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

1. The admission requirements for any of our National Diploma (ND) Programme is a minimum of five (5) credits O/level passes, in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physic and Biology obtain in

WAEC/NECO or NABTEB in not more than two (2) sittings. However, all applicants for National Diploma (ND) programme should also endeavour to obtain JAMB form.

2. Details of each programme requirements are explicitly stated on page 5 – 9. Applicants are advised to carefully read the requirements before making their application as error in the choice of course by

applicants will not be tolerated.

3. Applicants awaiting results are free to apply. Such applicants should indicate AR in the column for O/Level Results on the Application Form. However, the O/Level Results being awaited must be ready before admission exercise as no student would be considered for admission without O/Level Results.

4. The requirements for admission into Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes includes; National Diploma (ND) not lower than Lower Credit in relevant course/programme in addition to the Good

O/Level requirements stated in (1) above.

2 WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT AND SANITATION

National Diploma (ND) in Water Resources Management and Sanitation

2 Years

Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credits in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Geography and one relevant subject at WAEC, NECO or NABTEB in not more than two (2) sittings.

3 NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) in Environmental Health Technology

2 Years

Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credits in WAEC, NECO or NABTEB in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics in not more than two (2) sittings.

4 HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) in Environmental Health Technology

2 Years

Holders of Good National Diploma (ND) in Environmental Health Technology with at least Lower Credit. In addition to the five (5) ‘O’ Level Credits in WAEC, NECO or

NABTEB in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics

3 NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND), COMMUNITY HEALTH (CHEW).

3 Years

Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Geography and Chemistry from WAEC, NECO or NABTEB in not more than two (2) sittings.

 4 DIPLOMA IN EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY

3 Years

Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry at the SSCE by WAEC, NECO or NABTEB in not more than two (2) sittings.

 

SCHOOL OF DENTAL HEALTH SCIENCES

1 DIPLOMA IN DENTAL SURGERY TECHNIIQUES (Leading to the award of Diploma for Dental Surgery Technicians)

3 Years

Four (4) ‘O’ Level Credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology and either Chemistry/Physic from WAEC, NECO or NABTEB in not more than two (2) sittings.

2 NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND), DENTAL TECHNOLOGY

Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics from WAEC, NECO or NABTEB in not more than two (2) sittings.

3 NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND), DENTAL THERAPY

2 Years

Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics from WAEC, NECO or NABTEB in not more than two (2) sittings. In addition to the above requirements, Diploma in Dental Surgery Techniques is also accepted for admission to ND II, Dental Therapy Programme.

4 HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND), DENTAL TECHNOLOGY

2 Years

Holders of National Diploma (ND) in Dental Technology with at least lower credit. In addition Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics from WAEC, NECO or NABTEB in not more than two (2) sittings.

5 HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND), DENTAL THERAPY

2 Years

Holders of National Diploma (ND) in Dental Therapy with at least lower credit. In addition Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics from WAEC, NECO or NABTEB in not more than two (2) sittings.

1 DIPLOMA IN HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT (HIM) (TECHNICIAN PROGRAMME) 3 Years Four (4) ‘O’ Level Credits in English Language, Biology, Mathematics and ether Physic or Chemistry other subject at SSCE from WAEC, NECO or NABTEB in not more than two (2) sittings..

2 DIPLOMA IN HEALTH PROMOTION AND EDUCATION 2 Years Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology and any other subject at SSCE from WAEC, NECO or NABTEB in not more than two (2) sittings..

3 DIPLOMA IN COMPUTER SCIENCE 2 Years Four (4) ‘O’ Level Credit Passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any other subject at SSCE from WAEC and NECO in not more than two (2) sittings..

4 DIPLOMA IN MEDICAL SOCIAL WORK 2 years Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit Passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology and any other two (2) subject in each from the following Government/History, CRK/IRK, Health Science/Chemistry/Physics, Economic/Commerce/Geography at not more than two (2) sitting.

5 NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND), SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT 2 Years Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit Passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology and any other two (2) subject in each from the following Government, History, Chemistry, Physics, Economic, Commerce, Geography in not more than two (2) sitting

 6 NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND), HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT 2 Years Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry/Physics and any other relevant subject at SSCE from WAEC, NECO or NABTEB. in not more than two (2) sitting

7 HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND), HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT (HIM) 2 Years Holders of National Diploma (ND) in Health Information Management. In addition to the five (5) ‘O’ Level requirements as stated in 6 above.

 

SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH NURSING

1 PUBLIC HEALTH NURSING PROGRAMME Leading to the award of Higher National Diploma of West Africa Health Examination Board (WAHEB) 2 Years RN & RM/Psychiatric Nursing Certificate or Theatre Nursing Certificate for Male candidates. In addition, Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credits in WAEC, NECO or NABTEB in English Language, Biology and any other three (3) relevant subjects in not more than two (2) sitting.

2 COMMUNITY OPHTHALMIC TECHNICIAN 3 Years Five (5) ‘O’ Level credits in English Language, Mathematics and Biology and any other two subject from WAEC, NECO or NABTEB in not more than two (2) sitting.

 3 HEALTH ASSISTANT PROGRAMME 2 Years Three (3) ‘O’ Level Credits from WAEC, NECO or NABTEB in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and a pass in English Language in not more than two (2) sitting.

4 HEALTH TECHNICIAN PROGRAMME 3 Years (1) Four (4) ‘O’ Level credits in English Language, Biology Mathematics and any other relevant subject. (2) Holder of Certificate in Health Assistant will be admitted into year 2 of the programme.

1 DIPLOMA FOR PHARMACY TECHNICIAN 3 Years Four (4) ‘O’ Level Credits in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology from WAEC, NECO or NABTEB in not more than two (2) sittings.

2 DIPLOMA FOR MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN 3 Years Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credits in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physic from WAEC, NECO or NABTEB in not more than two (2) sittings.

3 DIPLOMA FOR MEDICAL IMAGING TECHNICIAN 3 years Four (4) ‘O’ Level Credits in Biology Chemistry and Physic with pass in English Language from WAEC, NECO or NABTEB in not more than two (2) sittings
