GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
1. The admission requirements for National Diploma (ND) Programmes are a minimum of five (5) credits O/level passes, in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physic and Biology in WAEC or NECO, Ordinary Level at not more than two (2) sittings.
2. Details of each programme requirements are explicitly stated on page 5 – 9. Applicants are advised to carefully read the requirements before making their application as error in the choice of course by applicants will not be tolerated.
3. Applicants awaiting results of May/June WAEC 2016 / May/June NECO 2016 are free to apply. Such applicants should indicates AR in the column for O/Level results on the Application Form.
ï‚· The admission requirements for Higher National Diploma (HND) courses/programmes include National Diploma (ND) not lower than Lower Credit in relevant course/programme in addition to the requirements stated in (1) above.
SCHOOL OF ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH 1. ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN
3 Years
Three (3) ‘O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Biology and Chemistry at WAEC or NECO.
2. WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT AND SANITATION
National Diploma (ND) in Water Resources Management and Sanitation
2 Years
Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Geography and one relevant subject at WAEC or NECO.
3. NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) in Environmental Health Technology
2 Years
Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit Passes at by WAEC or NECO in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics in not more than two (2) sittings.
4. HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) in Environmental Health Technology
2 Years
Holders of National Diploma (ND) in Environmental Health Technology with at least Lower Credit. In addition to the five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes at WAEC or NECO in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics
SCHOOL OF COMMUNITY HEALTH
1. CERTIFICATE IN COMMUNITY HEALTH(JCHEW)
2 Years
Three (3) ‘O’ Level Credit passes including Mathematics, Biology and English Language at the SSCE by WAEC or NECO.
2. DIPLOMA IN NUTRITION & DIETETICS
2 Years
Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Geography and Chemistry at the SSCE by WAEC or NECO in not more than two (2) sittings.
3. NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) IN COMMUNITY HEALTH (CHEW).
3 Years
Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Geography and Chemistry at the SSCE by WAEC or NECO in not more than two (2) sittings.
4. HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) IN COMMUNITY HEALTH (CHEW).
2 Years
Holders of National Diploma (ND) in Community Health with at least Lower Credit from OSCOHTECH Ilese-Ijebu. In addition to five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics in not more than two (2)sittings
SCHOOL OF DENTAL HEALTH SCIENCES
1. DIPLOMA IN DENTAL SURGERY TECHNIIQUES
(Leading to the award of Diploma for Dental Surgery Technicians)
3 Years
Four (4) ‘O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Biology and either Chemistry/Physic at WAEC or NECO in not more than two (2) sittings.
2. NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) IN DENTAL TECHNOLOGY
2 Years
Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at the SSCE or GCE by WAEC or NECO in not more than two (2)
sittings.
3. NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) IN DENTAL THERAPY
2 Years
Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at the SSCE or GCE by WAECor NECO in not more than two (2)
sittings. In addition to the above requirements, Diploma in Dental Surgery Techniques is also accepted for admission into ND II of Dental Therapy.
4. HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) IN DENTAL TECHNOLOGY
2 Years
Holders of National Diploma (ND) in Dental Technology with at least lower credit. In addition Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at the SSCE or GCE by WAEC or NECO in not more than two (2) sittings.
5. HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) IN DENTAL THERAPY
2 Years
Holders of National Diploma (ND) in Dental Therapy with at least lower credit. In addition Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at the SSCE or GCE by WAEC or NECO in not www.medicalworldnigeria.commore than two (2) sittings.
SCHOOL OF HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT
1. DIPLOMA IN HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT (HIM) (TECHNICIAN PROGRAMME)
3 Years
Four (4) ‘O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Biology, Mathematics and any other subject at SSCE by WAEC or NECO.
2. DIPLOMA IN HEALTH PROMOTION AND EDUCATION
2 Years
Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Biology and any other subject at SSCE by WAEC or NECO.
3. DIPLOMA IN COMPUTER SCIENCE
2 Years
Four (4) ‘O’ Level Credit Passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any other subject at SSCE by WAEC and NECO.
4. DIPLOMA IN MEDICAL SOCIAL WORK
2 years
Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit Passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology and two (2) other, one subject in each of these combinations (Government/History, CRK/IRK), (Health Science/Chemistry/Physics ,(Economic/Commerce/Geography) at not more than two sitting.
5. NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT
2 Years
Three (3) ‘O’ Level Credit Passes in English Language, and any other two subjects with at least a pass in Mathematics
6. NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) IN HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT
2 Years
Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry/Physics and any other relevant subject at SSCE by WAEC or NECO.
7. HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) IN HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT (HIM)
2 Years
Holders of National Diploma (ND) in Health Information Management. In addition to the five (5) ‘O’ Level requirements as stated in 6 above.
SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH NURSING
1. PUBLIC HEALTH NURSING PROGRAMME
Leading to the award of Higher National Diploma of West Africa Health Examination Board (WAHEB)
2 Years
RN & RM/Psychiatric Nursing Certificate or Theatre Nursing Certificate for Male candidates. In addition, Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credits Passes in SSCE by WAEC or NNECO including English Language, Biology and any other three (3) relevant subjects.
2. COMMUNITY OPHTHALMIC TECHNICIAN
3 Years
Five (5) ‘O’ Level credits passes including English Language, Mathematics and Biology and any other two subject at SSCE by WAEC or NECO.
3. HEALTH ASSISTANT PROGRAMME
2 Years
Three (3) ‘O’ Level Credit Passes at SSCE by WAEC or NECO in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and a pass in English Language
4. HEALTH TECHNICIAN ROGRAMME
3 Years
(1) Four (4) ‘O’ Level credits passes including English Language, Biology Mathematics and any other relevant subject.
(2) Health Assistant will be admitted into year 2 of the programme.
SCHOOL OF PHARMACY AND MEDICAL DIAGNOSTIC SCIENCE
1 DIPLOMA FOR PHARMACY TECHNICIAN
3 Years
Four (4) ‘O’ Level Credit Passes
including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology at the SSCE by WAEC or NECO in not more than two (2) sittings.
2. DIPLOMA FOR MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN
3 Years
Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit Passes including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physic at the SSCE by WAEC or NECO in not more than two (2) sittings.
3. DIPLOMA IN PHARMARCEUTICAL TECHNOLOGY
2 Years
Four (4) ‘O’ Level Credit Passes including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology at the SSCE by WAEC or NECO in not more than two (2) sittings.
4 DIPLOMA FOR MEDICAL IMAGING TECHNICIAN
3 years
Four (4) ‘O’ Level Credit passes, Biology Chemistry and Physic with pass in English Language at WAEC or NECO in not more than two (2) sittings
5 NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) MEDICAL IMAGING
2 years
Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at the SSCE or GCE by WAEC or NECO in not more than two (2) sittings.
