We work with Payers, Drug Manufacturers and Providers to develop solutions that improve the access and affordability of medicines for patients. Job Description

mPharma is looking for Pricing and Procurement Associates to join our Nigeria operations. In this role, you would be expected to interface with pharmaceutical companies, wholesalers, distributors and hospital procurement teams. The role entails managing mPharma Nigeria’s formulary and multiple channels of drug distribution. The Procurement Associate is the final piece of puzzle in ensuring that patients have access to the highest quality medication at the best prices.

This position reports to the Nigeria Pricing and Procurement Lead.

This position is offered with a competitive salary and stock options in mPharma.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, maintain and update Mutti formulary

  • Maintain and update prices of drugs in Mutti from suppliers

  • Engage distributors on selected drugs and brands for Mutti

  • Prepare orders, LPOs for distributors and pharma companies

  • Ensure timely delivery from distributors to hospitals

  • Ensure zero stock out in partner hospitals

  • Keep close tabs on expiring products per hospital

  • Scan for best prices from distributors

  • Ensure feedback from distributors and companies is immediately communicated to team

  • A strong work ethic, should be proactive and can work with minimal supervision

  • Fluent English with excellent writing, verbal, analytical, and organizational skills

  • A very good working knowledge of the healthcare system in Nigeria

  • Strong interpersonal skills to network with new people and develop business relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders

  • Thrives in a matrix environment which requires working with multiple teams internally (this role will liaise with our Customer Services, Technical and Provider Engagement teams)

  • Is results driven and self motivated to exceed targets.

  • Valid drivers license

  • To be based in Lagos and must be able to travel throughout the country.

Credentials:

  • Bachelor's degree with a strong GPA (Not less than a 2:1)

  • 1-2  years work experience in a procurement role in healthcare (can include internships)

  • Spotless personal background
