Announcing a Course in ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY For RADIOGRAPHERS a Compulsory Professional Development Programme Organised by the Nigerian Institute of Radiographers a division of the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria in collaboration with Cleno Health Resources Ltd.
Date: Module I: 13th - 23rd February, 2017, Module II: 15th - 26th June, 2017
Workshop Fee: N80,000 per module (To include course materials and lunch only)
Venue: Cleno Health Ultrasound Institute Beside University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
* Participants will be respondible for their accommodation, transportation and other incidental expenses.
Course Fees: All payments must be made on or before the course due date in favour of Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria TSA no: 052100600100 at any Commercial Bank in Nigeria
Methodologt:
The course will comprise of an intensive theoretical component to provide adequate knowledge of achocardiogram and handsd-on components to re-inforce the theoretical component and skill acquisition.
Pre-requisites:
All participants must be registered with the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria and must be holders of current practicing Licences.
Objective: This introductory course are to provide a systamatic and comprehensive knowledge, techniques and skills for Echo-cardiography Specialist-in-training.

1. Mearing and Principies of Echo & Doppler
2. Anatomy and physiology of the heart.
3. Convertional Echo
4. The Electrocardiogram
5. Colour Doppler Echo
6. The Echo Windows
7. Normal view and value
This module is almed at providing an indepth and comprehensive knowledge. On the various heart diseases and also skils for Echo-cardiography Specialist-in-training.

3. Prosthetic heart diseases.
4. Hypertensive Diseases
5. Cardiomyopathies
6. The Echo windows

Participants are to send completed course Registration Slip to RRBN on or before 15 days before tthe due date. Please note that physical registration/documentation of participants ends by 9:00am of the 1st day. Paymen is to be made at the venue.
