The West African College of Physicians’ (WACP) mission is to improve the health of West Africans through excellence in training of medical specialists, and the provision of high quality health care. The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) has developed a close and effective partnership with WACP over the past decade.

 

With support from the Ecobank Foundation, the WACP and RCP are organising a clinical course in Ibadan that will focus on the treatment and management of HIV, TB and malaria as well as preparation for infectious disease outbreaks such as Ebola. 

 

The course is open only to doctors in training who have passed their membership examination with the colleges (ie senior registrars) and to medical officers and senior medical officers working in state-owned hospitals.’ With facilitators drawn from both RCP and WACP, this five day training course will provide skills for effective training and supervision of trainees.

Limited partial funding (to support travel and accommodation) is available to support a small number of applicants who live more than 100km outside Ibadan.
