Short Term Certificate Course on Improving Policies and Programs for Addressing High Fertility and Its Implication in the Sahel

The Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in collaboration with the center of excellence in reproductive health innovation (CERHI), university of benin city, Nigeria
 
Call for application for a short term certificate course on improving policies and programs on strategies and methods (blueprint frame) for addressing high fertility and its implicaitons in the sahel
 
A world bank supported program (Africans centre of excellence ACE) at the university of benin aimed at building capapcity within west and central african's tertiary educational system for implementing high quality training and applied researdch for reproductive health professions to tackle policies and programs for reducing the regions high burden of fertility. 
 
The university of benin in collaboration with partner institutions - Ahmadu bello university, the university of Niger and the university of Aberdeen is implementing this program
 
As part of its mandate, Ahmadu Bellow university, the university of Nier and the university of Aberdeen call for applications from government ministries, departments and agencies in WEst and central african for admission of appropriate in-service personnel into a one week certificate course on improving policies and programs for addressing high fertility and its implication in the sahel
 
WHO SHOULD APPLY
- Physicians and nurse/ midwives of federal, states, local government health institutions
- Regional government organizations persnonals and should comprise both public and private sector health provider/ implementer
- A policymaker (responsible for guiding policies on family planing)
- NGO staff working on area of family planning
- Individuals with interest in family planning/ child spacing programing
 
WORKSHOP DATES/ VENUE
The workshop will take place at ABU-NAERLS suit, dates are 22nd May to 27th May 2017. Arrival May 21st while departure is May 28th 2017
 
METHOD OF APPLICATION
Applications with names and current portfolios should be forwarded to the desk officer of CEHRI-ABU on or before May 10th 2017
 
Applications should include short description of the family planning challenge that exists in the area of the participants which we intent to address during the workshop
 
All applications should be returned with a payment evidence of N30,000 being the workshop fees excluding accomodation in favor of directorate of academic planning monitoring following these steps
