In Gynaecology, we are a tertiary referral centre for Gynaecological endoscopy in Nigeria with patients visiting us from all over the country for advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeries.

 

Job Title: Senior Registrar/Hospital Specialist in Obstetrics and gynaecology

 

Report to: Medical Director

 

Position objective Summary: Rendering medical care to patients from an obstetric and gynaecological perspective.

 

Experience Required: Minimum of 4 years’ experience in obstetrics and gynaecology  

 

Duration: 12 months contract in the 1st instance

 

Working Hours:  Mon. –Fri. (8 -5pm)

Alternate Saturdays (9 - 4pm)                      

2nd on call (On call from home) weekdays and alternate weekends

 

Proposed Interview Date: 21st May 2015

Proposed Start Date: 1st of June 2015

 

Essential Requirements

MB.CH.B or Equivalent , MRCOG or FWACS preferred but not essential

4 years in Obstetrics and Gynaecology

Ability to work as a team member

Ability to work at the level of a senior registrar in the obstetrics and gynaecology department

Good communication skills

Good surgical skills

Ability to perform hysteroscopy , laparoscopy and pelvic scan will be favourable but not essential as there will be opportunity to train on the job

This is a senior role so not appropriate for junior medical officers to apply 

You will be required to supervise other junior medical officers in the unit/clinic.
