DIRECTOR OF HEALTH SERVICES

CONTISS 15 (N2,232,199 - N2,875,791)

The Director of Health Services shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day running of the University's Health Centre and give adequate supervision and advice for all the Medical related issues in the University. He/She shall oversee the smooth coordination of the University Health Services.

 

Academic/Professional Qualifications 

i.  The candidates for the position must possess a degree of Bachelor of Surgery, Bachelor of Medicine (MBBS/MBCHB) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

 

ii.  Membership of relevant professional bodies such as Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), National Association of Doctors in University Health Services (NADUHS), Association of General and Private Medical Practitioners of Nigeria (AGPMPN), etc.

 

iii  Computer literacy and possession of a higher degree shall be an added advantage.

 

 

Experience 

At least fifteen (15) years post-qualification cognate experience in a University or related institution and must have served at the level of Deputy Firector of Health Services for not less than three (3) years.

 

Conditions of Service

The Conditions of Service are attractive and can compare favourably with what obtains in any public University in the Country. The successful candidates who qualify for pensionable appointment will be on probation for three (3) years after which the appointment may be confirmed to a retiring age, provided the performance of such person is consiidered satisfactory to the University. The Contributory Pension Scheme as adopted by the State Government and appropriate allowances as may be approved from time-to-time by the University Governing Council shall be applicable to all staff.
