Vacancies for the post of Provost, Registrar and HOD Public Health at the College of Health Science and Technology Deba Gombe State

The Board of Directors of the College of Health Science and Technology Deba Gombe State invites applications from suitably qualified experienced and credible candidates for appointment into the following positions

The Institution
The College of Health Sciences and Technology Deba is a tertiary institution established to train competent and ethical health professionals advance healthcare delivery promote research and contribute meaningfully to community development within Gombe State and Nigeria at large

The Positions Duties and Responsibilities

Provost
The Provost is the Chief Executive Officer and Principal Academic and Administrator of the College
The Provost shall be responsible for the overall day to day administration and management of the institution subject to the supervision and directives of the Governing Council
He represents the College at official statutory and professional engagements

Registrar
The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer and Secretary to the Governing Council
The Registrar assists in overseeing accreditation reaccreditation and quality assurance of academic programmes
The Registrar fosters and sustains relationships with government agencies regulatory bodies development partners and the host community

HOD Public Health
The HOD will superintend the activities of the Department of Public Health

Bursar
The Bursar is responsible for the day to day financial transactions of the College

Qualification Requirements

Provost
Applicants must possess
• A minimum of a Masters Degree in Health Sciences or a related discipline from a recognized institution
• A Doctorate Degree is an added advantage
• A valid practicing licence with a relevant professional regulatory body
• Attainment of the rank of Chief Lecturer or equivalent in a recognized tertiary institution
• Evidence of scholarly publications in reputable peer reviewed journals
• Demonstrated leadership capacity integrity vision and administrative competence
• A statement of vision for the College not exceeding two pages
• Must be resident in Gombe State

Experience
• A minimum of ten to fifteen years post qualification experience in teaching training research and administration within a tertiary institution
• Demonstrable experience in academic planning personnel management institutional governance and resource management

Other Positions (Registrar HOD Public Health)
• Relevant qualification and experience
