Hello All,
Last month The Lancet commission on cultural and health has published a report. The discussion is very impressive and relevant on many counts. The medical fraternity altogether still groping to balance between heavily tilted towards biomedical approach and address the social and cultural aspects in public health. No doubt the role and use of bio-medical is crucial and important, but it only covers the small fraction of health as a whole. It is true that, nothing is being fit for all, but proportion and ratio can be maintained as per need and requirement of the system.
The report itself is a reminder to all of us that, while framing any policy or program or developing any medical school we should try to find out a balance all essential ingredients which are directly or indirectly influences the individual,
community, national and global health. Here I am pasting the open access link of the report.
Best Wishes for you future endeavors
