The National Primary Health Care Development Agency and Partners hereby remind the general public that Measles' season is around the corner.
The disease is highly contagious and easily transmitted from person to person through close contact, sneezing or coughing; mainly in young children.
The disease can be prevented by immunization and maintenance of good personal hygiene.
The signs and symptoms may include cough, muscle pain, sore throat fever, red eyes, runny nose and appearance of rash.
If any of these signs and symptoms is noticed, please visit the nearest medical or health centre for treatment.
Prevention pays, get your child immunized.
